This project was to establish a campus for Charles Sturt University, due to the desire for future growth in northern NSW, with the ability to allow students in that part of the state to have direct access to a local university campus in Port Macquarie.  

The campus development included multiple student classrooms, learning commons, a library and collaborative learning spaces, to provide accommodation for up to 1000 students.  

AED’s role including design assessment, as well as undertaking various site inspections during the construction phase to identify compliance issues and to also provide design advice to the design team and the builder to address any compliance issues identified.  

On completion of the facility, we issued access certification to confirm the work had been completed to meet all relevant accessibility requirements.
